Missing Feathers Decaf
I have finally found the decaf I have been looking for, a coffee made using a natural process that also has real depth and flavor. This decaf uses a Sugarcane natural process to remove caffeine.
Colombia produces a lot of sugarcane. We are offering Palo Rosa Sugarcane Decaf, which is a EA process that hails from Planadas Tolima. Natural Ethyl Acetate is derived from sugar cane in Colombia and combined with fresh spring water to strip caffeine from the coffee at the decaffeination plant in Manizales.
The process works by soaking green coffee in a solution of E.A., which bonds to the salts of chlorogenic acid in the coffee and allows for the removal of caffeine. The coffee is removed from the solvent and steamed at low pressure to remove the E.A. compounds. The finished product truly retains its flavor integrity.
