About The Roaster
Drinking coffee has always been an enjoyable experience for me. While living in the Bay Area, I found myself driving for miles to try the many specialty coffee shops popping up all around the area. One day, a great friend floated an idea my way, “Why don’t you try roasting coffee yourself?” And that is exactly what I did.

ABOUT LAUGHING DUCK COFFEE
My roasting career actually began by roasting in a popcorn maker, although this setup didn’t last for long. As my skills and experience grew, so did my equipment list.
I have been building a wonderful relationship with Aviator Coffees while sharing their Dietrich IR12 roaster. We collaborate on roasting techniques and coffees that benefit the both of us. It is a privilege to be able to roast amazing coffee with them.
In August of 2021, Laughing Duck Coffee was able to purchase or new San Franciscan SF-6 roaster! This new roaster will allow us to further or exploration into new coffees and blends.
Although Laughing Duck Coffee is very small, we purchase coffees from reputable importers. Whenever possible, we pay prices that help benefit the farmers of that particular region.
