Wingbeat Espresso
One of our favorite types of coffee preparation is espresso! We wanted our first espresso blend to be exciting and work for both milk based drinks as well as straight up espresso shots.
This blend creates some great crema while giving it just enough brightness for a nice tang on the tongue. Additional notes of cocoa, citrus (orange peel, tart).
Don't want to make an espresso shot? Try it as using your favorite drip method and we're sure it won't disappoint.
Here are some of our recommended settings for pulling some great espresso shots:
Coffee:
For 20 to 21 grams of ground beans in, you will want to get about 27 to 30 grams of liquid espresso out. Without a scale, this is approximately 1 oz of liquid. You will have to play with your grind to achieve these settings, starting with a finer grind and working your way coarser.
Water Temp:
We have been getting good results with temps between 200 to 204.
Hope these starting points are helpful to achieve an excellent espresso shot!
NOTES: Cocoa, Citrus, Bright
ORIGIN: Central/South America, East Africa
ROAST LEVEL: Medium

What is a Wingbeat?
Ducks have small wings, so soaring like a hawk isn’t an option. They must flap their wings fast — about 10 times per second — to keep their relatively large bodies airborne. Duck wings are long and pointed, like those of a peregrine falcon, the fastest bird on Earth. With this wing shape and rapid wingbeat, most ducks can fly at 80 kilometres per hour!
